Social and economic empowerment under Forsa initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity
The
“Better Life” project is an economic and social empowerment project targeting
youth and women head of households that are “Takaful w Karama” (which
translates to “Solidarity and Dignity”) initiative beneficiaries in Al-Tamiya
Center, Fayoum Governorate and that is implemented in cooperation with the
Forsa Initiative under the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
On
Tuesday, May 9, 2023, 51 projects for breeding and fattening white chicks and
Muscovy ducks were handed over to 51 families of Takaful and Karama
beneficiaries in Fayoum Governorate, in the presence of Mrs. Hamdiya Mohamed Shaaban, Undersecretary
of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Fayoum: Dr. Sherine Fathy, Asset
Transfer Coordinator in Fayoum, Dr. Samia Ramadan, Coordinator of Monitoring
and Evaluation in Fayoum, Mr. Ahmed Ramadan, Coordinator of the Forsa Program
in Fayoum and Dr. Nashwa Ayoub, CEO of Qodra for Development and Technological
Solutions for Education.
The
target would be achieving the project’s desired objectives of improving the
living conditions of the most affected women and youth by poverty and their
families, especially for the beneficiaries of the “Solidarity and Dignity”
Program and empowering them economically in the Tamiya Center in Fayoum
Governorate, hence, contributing to alleviating poverty.
